The weekend

*burp* Alhamdulillah, just finished eating dinner which was jacket potatoes with tuna-mayo and beans fillings. nyum2. Today was not my day. Skipped 3hrs of lecture in the morning ( Mechanical vibrations and composites structures) and another two in the afternoon..( Flight Control Systems and composites tutorial) and now..im regretting it...a little..lol. I was so tired that even a Mocha with 4 packets of brown sugar didnt help me at all..macam..ngalih jua ku sudah tuu..wahahaha I can say its all because of the hectic-but-fun weekend~

The weekend: I went to Birmingham to watch the annual Yonex All England Open held at the National Indoor Arena (NIA) on Friday the 7th. It was the quarter final matches. At first I didnt have the ticket for it..but, with Shazwani's help, I got it!! Thanks a lot wani!! the match started at 17:30 hrs and finishes at 22:30 hrs. Thats 5 hrs long!! sitting on your butt for 5 straight hours can be tiring..lol. But whats important is that it is all worth it!! Saw the match between Taufik Hidayat (indonesia) and Lee Chung Wei (malaysia). The 1st game, Taufik was on the lead with 20-16 but as his opponet is Lee Chung Wei, the 2nd seed, Taufik H lost 21-23 in the first game. That was one intense match, full of smashes, nearly-impossible crosscourt backhand and many more. The match between Taufik H and Chung Wei L was won by Chung Wei L. They were lots of other interesting matches like Lin Dan's, Nathan and Gail's and many more.

After the All England Open, Me, saifullah, shuhir, najib, mustaqim, mallie, hanis a.k.a manis balikk...den hangout arah rumah diurang c Azrul.. makan nasi lamak..[ Nasi, ayam-ber-order and sambal kak yun!!!! ] fuhh..ngam2 lapar wah.. hahaha then, keluar tia DDR and the standing champion saifullah.. Damn.. indaku tau c saipol wah champion DDR di birm!! hahahahaI crashed at Wani's place sal dey all are going to Leics for the Bruleics Games '08 the next morning and im going aswell. Yatah kan bebayalah kirakann..The stupid thing was.. I slept at 6 am in the morning and woke up at 8 am!! Two hours of sleep ganya..huhu we took the 10:24 train to Leicester and arrived in Leics around..11:15 kali.

The Bruleics Games is another annual event organised by the Bruneian-Leicsterians.. Its a sports event consisting of Football and Netball. Wheee~ sports event..its time to put my new Nikon D70s (DSLR camera) to use.. and it took great pics :):) posted the pics up in my flickr account http://flickr.com/people/24587523@N08/ Congratulations to both Lufbru's Football and Netball teams for winning medals!! Football: 3rd place and the Netballers: 1st place!!!!! woohoooo~ sadly, i wasnt there to take pics of the prize giving ceremony as me, afnan and ain were on our way to London to attend the Brunei Night organised by the Imperial College London's students.

My ticket for the ICUBS Brunei Night was sponsored by my very own brother, Along..(thanks long) hahahaha I practically forced him to buy it for me..lol.. The Brunei Night's theme was "The Curse Of The Pulut Panggang" and it was FUN!! I actually enjoyed it very much. Performances included comedy drama which relates to Bruneian lifestyle and astonishing dances. And oh..Afnan's sister, Qeenah, performed. Thats why he went to Brunei Night..kana pajal jua..lol

So..cutting things short.. went back to Loughborough on sunday afternoon and arrived around 3:40..went straight back to my crib..simpan barang..ambil my nadminton gear..and off to 2hrs of badminton!!! baru balik pun tarus main wahh..huhuhuhu the session was pretty hardcore..lol..semangat All England lah katakan.. That's all for now I guess.. something came up..yatah I have to cut it short..
